This article sums up how Krak Stack protects your data and how to get it back.

Steps
- Limit access: give each user the most suitable role in Settings > Roles and permissions.
- Protect sign-ins: ask each user to turn on two-step sign-in in My account.
- Remove unused accounts: in Users, use Remove from company for someone who leaves.
- Ask for a full export if needed, by opening a support ticket.
Good to know
- Company separation: each company has its own workspace. A workspace's data is only visible to users invited to that workspace.
- Rights by role: each module is set for viewing, managing and seeing amounts. Some actions, such as permanent deletion, are sensitive rights.
- Trash: most deleted items go to the trash first and can be restored.
- Two-step sign-in: a one-time code received by email on top of the password.
- Hosting: the application and its database run on a Hostinger server in Germany (European Union), behind Cloudflare (protection and encrypted connections).
- Backups: the database is backed up every night, and an encrypted copy is kept outside the main server (Cloudflare R2).
- Providers: emails are sent by Resend (Ireland), subscription card payments go through Stripe; Krak Stack never stores your card numbers.
- Read-only banking: the bank connection reads your accounts and transactions, it never makes payments.
- Private files: photos, attachments and uploaded documents are only available to signed-in users of your workspace.
- Full export: on request, the Krak Stack team prepares a ZIP file with all your company's data (one CSV file per table and the uploaded documents). Passwords and keys are not exported. The download link is valid for 24 hours.
