The Depots tab shows where your containers wait, for how long and what they cost you. It reads the depot stays of each container.

Steps
- Open Dashboard, choose the Period, then the Depots tab.
- Read the Today block: containers at depots, available, current average stay, long stays, storage cost per day and capital asleep.
- Read the Over the period block: depot costs, cost per container per day, in and out.
- In Depots ranked, sort by cost, number of containers, length or long stays. Click a depot to open its card.
- At the bottom, the list of the 10 longest stays opens each container.
How it is calculated
- Depot costs: storage day by day after the depot free days, arrival handling and photos on the entry day, departure handling and release or transfer fees on the exit day.
- A container still at a depot is valued as on its card: at today's depot tariff, else at the rate recorded on its stay.
- Cost per container per day: the period cost divided by all days at depots, free days included. It compares a cheap depot where containers stay long with an expensive one.
- Capital asleep: the value (purchase price, else market value) of the containers at a depot for longer than the long stay threshold.
- Long stays: 180 days by default, the same threshold as the dashboard alert.
Good to know
- Amounts are kept for the roles allowed to see the fleet value (by default Administrator, Sales and Finance).
- A stay marked not billable counts in the presence, never in the costs.
- Tariff grid: None flags a depot without a tariff: its costs are then those recorded on the stays, often zero.
- Amounts excluding VAT, in your company currency.
Frequently asked questions
Why does a depot cost almost nothing while my containers stay there long?
Its free days are long or its tariff is low. Look at the length and the capital asleep: a container that sleeps earns nothing, even when it costs little.
Why is the number at depots different from the Containers tab?
The Depots tab counts open stays. A container without a recorded stay (old import, depot not filled in) is not in it.
How do I lower the long stay threshold?
It is set in the alert thresholds of your company settings.
Why "None" tariff grid?
No tariff is entered on the depot card. Add it so that the costs are right.
Does today's storage cost include handling?
No. It is what the containers past the free days of their depot cost every day.
