The Container catalog holds the container types, capacities, colors and conditions your company uses, and the reference prices per port. Types, capacities and grades come from a standard library: you only switch on those you need.

Steps
- Open Settings > Container catalog.
- Types tab: click a type to use it in your company, click again to stop. Each tile shows its ISO code and its usual capacity. Pick from the library fills the name, the short code and the ISO code.
- On a type in use, Colour, icon and capacity sets its colour, its icon and its Usual capacity.
- Capacities tab: click a capacity (maximum gross weight) to use it, click again to stop.
- Colors tab: add or edit the container colours.
- Conditions tab: click a grade to use it, click again to stop. Colour and icon changes how it is shown.
- Reference prices tab: check the price known per Port, Type, Condition and Sale (Pick-up or Gate buy), with its Source. Use Type a price or Fill in missing prices where a price is missing.
Good to know
- Turning a type, capacity or grade off never deletes it: containers and deals keep it.
- New and Used are always kept.
- Types and capacities created before the library are listed under Other types and Other capacities: they can only be switched off or back on.
- When you turn a type on, it brings its usual capacity. A new container of this type gets that capacity; it can still be changed on the container.
- On a container, an empty ISO Code takes the ISO code of its type.
- A reference price comes from one of three sources: Typed by hand, Last sale (the most recent of the two wins), else Containers' price (the target price of the containers at that port).
- Only prices Typed by hand can be edited or deleted. On another row, Type a price saves your own price, which wins until a newer sale.
- Fill in missing prices lists the arrival ports of the leasings of the last 12 months that have no known price for their type and condition. Type the prices you know and leave the others empty.
- A reference price is used as the target price at arrival in the projected margin of leasings.
Frequently asked questions
Why can I not type a new container type?
Types come from the library only. Switch on the type you need in the Types tab. If it is not in the library, open a ticket.
What happens to containers if I switch a type off?
Nothing: they keep their type. The type is simply no longer offered for new entries.
Why does a container show an ISO code I never typed?
Its own ISO Code is empty, so Krak Stack uses the ISO code of its type.
Which reference price is used when there are several sources?
The most recent of the price typed by hand and the last sale. Without either, the price carried by the containers at that port.
Does a reference price change my containers?
No. It is used by the projected margin; the prices on your container records stay as they are.
Who can change the catalog?
Users whose role gives access to the catalog settings, usually administrators.
