Sales and purchases
These guides follow container sales and purchases from creating a deal to issuing its invoices and reviewing its margin. Start with the trading form: choose Sell, Buy or Buy/Sell, select the transaction type, enter the buyer or seller, port, quantity, prices and currencies, and choose or name the containers. The trading-types guide explains pickup, gate-buy, stock transfer and delivery workflows. Gate-buy guidance covers containers changing hands at depot arrival, including selling containers currently on lease and buying containers delivered by a supplier. Follow the status guide to understand how releases, returns, movements, invoices and payments advance a deal. For financial follow-through, learn how to create trading invoices or pro formas, set prices per container, and handle the sale and purchase invoices of a buy/sell transaction. The margin guide explains which invoices count and how rents are included. These articles are for operators entering, tracking and billing container trading deals.
